How to see the precipitation on the radar using a Mac computer?
Hello! I am trying to figure out how to view radar precipitation on my Apple M1 Max Mac Studio running IOS version Sonoma 14.2.1. Do you have any suggestions? I would like to be able to use this app on my desktop Mac and not just on my iPhone or iPad. The screenshot below your app screenshot is what my desktop app looks like when I launch Radarscope Pro.
Thanks
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Thank you for using RadarScope. Does the issue persist when another radar site is selected, a different radar product is selected, or after changing the radar data provider (RadarScope vs NOAA)? Is the internet connection good? If you answered yes to all of these questions, I'd recommend trying the following steps in this order: Restart the app, restart the device, uninstall/reinstall the app. If the issue persists, try loading this test link: https://radarscope-feeds.wdtinc.com/. If it loads an Amazon Linux AMI test page, you should be able to access the data, so these can be difficult to troubleshoot. It could be a Firewall/VPN issue, where it's blocking specific file types from downloading, such as .nid files which RadarScope uses. If it's a "can't load" or "access blocked" error, the most likely cause is a Firewall/VPN issue. You can try bypassing the firewall/vpn by switching to a different network. You will need to whitelist the wdtinc.com domain on the firewall/vpn to resolve the issue. If it's a "server not found" error, the likely cause is a DNS issue.
